This episode of Sew Many Machines features the Singer 500A – nicknamed the Rocketeer because of it’s streamlined, space-aged design.

A collection of pictures showing off Hazel after a very brief cleaning and tune up. She came to me in excellent working order. A sticker on the front says that she was last serviced in 2005 and I doubt that anyone did much sewing since then.

The video above shows the working mechanism of the built in camstack in the 500A.
